If I could just get there....

Let's not let this begin poorly.

So I am exhausted. It was hard to sleep on the plane, and it's been even more exhausting dealing with a flight cancellation that quickly got replaced by a flight to Frankfurt directly from Chicago. Nevertheless, regardless of me asking my baggage still ends up getting lost. I'm at the point now where I just want a bed, a shower, and a beer.

For now, I'll settle for the beer. Kindl Weiss, a green sweet beer. And, delicious at that.

Oh, and here water costs almost as much as beer. Probably should just skip the water and get down to business. After all, this is Germany and they are definitely serious people - especially about their beer.

heres something I noticed...
When I went to visit Harriet today, her secretary had a child with her at work. Ever since that moment I've been thinking about how separated children are from their parents in the US because of how much time spent at work.

    What a way to begin an adventure! Hopefully, your luggage arrives before you have to leave Berlin - any progress???

    Green beer - I thought that just happened around St Patty's Day!

    They say I am supposed to get my luggage today... After a long trip to the airport last night they said that my luggage would be there. It wasn't. And, you know they don't even track where your luggage is - because last night they were just like : "call back tomorrow and we'll see if we have any information."

    And in my head I'm like, what's the point of scanning in a luggage tag in the age of technology if not to be able to track it?!

    Ugh, but you taught me a few things in life so I knew to bring everything I really needed with me (:
